The Dress

I got my wedding dress today. My mom and cousin, Katie, came to Provo from Idaho Falls to help me choose. These are the two losers:





The three of us, plus the nice Chinese alterations guru, chose a different dress. The picture is classified, as my dear fiancee doesn't need any more temptations to figure out what the dress looks like. I am so excited that I finally, yes FINALLY, have a dress :)

Surprise

Today I picked up Cody's ring from the greatest jewelry story ever -- Goldsmith Jewelers in Provo. I would highly recommend them to anybody . . . but that is off-topic. As I was leaving, the salesman asked if he gave Cody a pearl necklace to go with my ring. I told him that I hadn't heard anything about it, so he gave me one and told me to bring it back if Cody had already gotten one.
I called Cody after I left to ask about the necklace. There was an awkward silence -- then he told me that the necklace was supposed to be one of my birthday presents. Funny!
I guess that next time I get my ring cleaned, I will be taking the necklace I got today back . . .

I have a blog!

I never thought this day would come . . . but my fiancee is asleep on the couch next to me, I don't have any homework to do, and I am sick of looking at wedding stuff online. So I decided to be cool like all my cousins and friends who have blogs and start my own. Hooray for peer pressure :)
